Come by and taste some for yourself!
We can make virtually any type of wine you might imagine and every day we are making some traditional wines you'll recognize and some delightful and unique blends to surprise your palate.

We use "fanciful names" and the description of the wine characteristics instead of just the type of grape used to make it because there is so much variation among wines of a single varietal from different wineries. We believe if you know what you like, we can make the wine that is perfect for you.

Rather than focusing on specific varietals our tastings explore the fundamentals - sweetness, acidity, tannins, fruit and body. By understanding how each of us perceive these qualities differently and learning to recognize them you can compare wines to find the ones YOU really like the best. After all a "wine expert" probably has a different sense of taste than most of us and just because they love a specific wine doesn't mean we will like it. The best wine for you is the one you like best!
Our current wines include these traditional offerings: Note: Our traditional red wines are best served at "room" temperature which historically meant meant at about 60 degrees F. Our white and "sweeter" wines should be served at about 50 degrees F. A rule of thumb is to take your white wines out of the refrigerator about 15 mins. before serving, and put the red in for about 15 mins. before serving.  "Amore'," an exceptionally full bodied complex Italian Amarone style wine produced from partially dried grapes of several varieties, typically Corvina, Molinara and Rondinella. A deep nearly opaque red  exuding intense aromas of sour cherries, dark chocolate, dried fruits, bitter almond and tobacco wth a spicy-earthy bittersweet finish due to a huge volume of tannins; and

A robust well-balanced red table blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot bringing out the best of each, with subtle fruit, tannins and just off-dry enough to be a good pairing for a variety of medium to hearty foods.

"Pine Island"
Classic American Pinot Noir (Burgundy Grape). Bottled elegance in this wine's red fruit flavors with hints of flowers and spice, and supple tannins. Pairs with most anything and very drinkable just by itself.

"Veronica" Full-bodied with a lush, soft character. In contrast to Chardonnay, the Viognier varietal has more natural aromatics that include notes of peach, pears, violets and minerality. Smooth medium body with floral notes, less acidity.

"Pea Island" Pinot Grigio is the best selling white wine of the Outer Banks. This varietal is soft, gently perfumed and has more color than most whites. A zesty, dry white wine with floral notes on the nose and plenty of citrus fruit on the palate. Dry, medium body.

"Great White " Our
Chardonnay is the king of the white wines with bold, ripe, rich and intense fruit flavors. The Chardonnay grape itself is very neutral and it is vinified in many different styles, from the lean, crisply mineral wines of Chablis, France to New World wines with oak, and tropical fruit flavors. Smooth, appealing, with hints of vanilla, oak and apple.  Slightly buttery. Dry, Medium body

And these unique "sweeter" wines (by "sweeter" we mean just enough residual sugar to make the fruit flavor taste naturally ripe. They are nothing like the sweet wine based beverages you find in the grocery store.):

"Greentail" A blend of our "Relaxing" with natural green apple flavors)A crisp refreshing summer wine named after the famous shrimp only available in the Pamlico Sound from late August to October.

"Perfectly Peachy"
A blend of our "Great White" made even more refreshing for the warm weather by the addition of natural peach and apricot flavors.

White Zinfandel is lighter in color than regular Zinfandel because the grape skins are removed. The grape's high sugar content can be fermented into an intense red wine with levels of alcohol exceeding 15 percent. White Zinfandel though is sweeter than most whites with strawberry and raspberry notes. It's a favorite with the young crowd and White Zinfandel sells 6 times more than the red wine in the United States.

"Corolla Mustangria"
A blend of our "Sweetheart" with natural tropical fruit flavors and citrus to offer a refreshing counterpoint to spicier foods, especially Spanish and Mexican dishes. Great chilled by itself.

"Swan Beach Sunset"
A blend of our Pine Island with the natural flavor of black cherry. A decadent wine to accompany holiday meals like ham or turkey and a wonderful evening relaxer watching an OBX sunset.

Finally, a very special offering (very limited quantities) bottled in 375ml.splits.
A pure local honey "OBX Sweet Mead" Our mead is wildflower honey fermented into "the drink of kings." It is exquisite on the rocks or mixed with hot or iced tea.
Our goal is to share our passion of wine making, and of course drinking wine, in several capacities. We teach our friends how to make their own wine and we can provide labels with their personal choice of design and wording. We produce wines for local events, and for tasting and consumption at our retail site, as well as sell supplies and equipment for wine and beer hobbyists. We are looking forward to you visiting us!
Living on the Outer Banks we function on "Island Time" which is somewhat informal. Your convenience is our concern and we're always close by if not at the winery. So, if you need something we will try to accommodate your schedule. We're normally open Tuesday - Friday 11AM-5PM, Saturday 11AM-4PM or later if busy, and sometimes on Sundays from Noon until 4ish or later if there are lingering tasters, but as our sign says

          "If we're here we're open...
if we're not here we're closed."
